I think this this picture below is the point when Buddy Boy's passy nearly went for a dunk in the fount. And that's my first goddaughter standing just in front of me! I am so honored to have been given this role in these girls' lives.

Mama had the post-Baptism party at her house. In the flurry of preparation, she had a big salad bowl out on the kitchen counter, with some table linens draped over the side. Little Guy sized up the arrangement and inquired if that was where the Baptism would be occurring.
My cousin said he didn't know how to hold a baby. We scoffed. We handed him Baby Girl. We believed him. ;)
The Mister and I are making a life for our family just outside Washington, DC. He spends his days (and many nights and weekends) working at a law firm in the city. I spend mine caring for our greatest blessings. This is the journal of our lives.
