A Splendid Easter

The Mister's parents joined us for Easter this year.  Visits from Grandma and Grandpa are always fun and always active!
I can't tell you how many times Little Guy asked to "go high in sky" or to "do airplane."  And his grandparents obliged every time!  It makes them quite popular around here.  :)
{Yes, the Little Guy does own pants.  He even wears them sometimes.}

 Grandpa came straight from Afghanistan for the festivities.
And festivities there were!  Beginning with early morning Peep-eating.
 Followed by a beautiful Mass.
 A quick break for a very special Easter picture.
 An egg hunt.

 Easter smiles.
Family fun.
 And then a feast!
{including several borrowed recipes: Aunt Betty's hashbrown casserole, Jamie's bacon-wrapped green bean bundles, and Chad's strawberry shortcake}

It was a splendid Easter indeed!

"Jesus Christ is ris'n today, Alleluia!"

What a beautiful and bounteous dinner! Thank you for letting us all be at the table with you. PS--How DID you get them both to cry at the same time? I thought they always took turns! Love, Mama
