A Wintry Mix

We've been spending a lot of time with Legos lately.  Little Guy works diligently for a few minutes, collecting and stacking, and then holds up his creation for me to see.  "Wook, Mama, a pwane."  Or...a fwoat, or...a carrrr, or...Jeshus-on-a-cwoss.  I guess there's no limit to what they can be.
My new naptime treat is a mug of hot chocolate with a heap of marshmallows.  Except now I'm out of marshmallows, because someone very small has decided he likes them too.
But that's ok.  He works hard for his marshmallows.
We took the boys to see the national Christmas tree the other night.
Is it bad that the Mister and I weren't very impressed by its size?  I mean, just how big did we think it was going to be?
The size of the nearby fire pit, however, was quite impressive.  They were dumping multiple forklifts full of logs in at a time!
I love our neighborhood at night.

Little Guy's favorite car game is to spot all the statues of "man-on-howrse" as we drive past them around town.  Double points for a spot from the stroller.  And great jubilation!
We had a date with our friends this week.
To see trains at the botanical gardens.
His feet hovered about two inches off the ground the whole time we were there.
The greenhouse temps meant Buddy Boy could actually emerge, at least partially, from the snowsuit he wears everywhere these days!  Freedom!
Little Guy could not for the life of him figure out why there were coins in the wishing well.  He eventually chalked it up to a "siwwy boy."
The poinsettias were pretty.

 As was this little flower.
Man-on-howrse alert!  Triple points for a statue made from plant parts.  And greater jubilation still!
Christmas is next week, y'all!
