My favorite family-tradition holiday side is waldorf salad, but it's really more seasonal in the fall, with the apples. Best Easter dessert? Strawberry shortcake!!

Since eggs are a big theme, I always go with deviled eggs as one of a few appetizers. For the entree, prime rib with an au gratin potato dish, garlic asparagus and a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert. Ok, now I'm hungry!!

I went to the grocery store to take advantage of the special price, but to buy BC's gluten-free mixes. No 69 cents for me, even though it was on sale for $1 off, it was still $4!

Umm.... I would make the fun flower pots that PW has on her blog today.

Have haricots vert---so springy and green tasting! You can use the fresh green beans that are already prepped in the microwaveable bag. (your ever-so-cordon-bleu mama!)

Well I think carrots must be part of the meal either as a starter with dip or candied as a side. Also it is fun and Andrew can help to make your center piece you would need to start now. Take any kind of shallow disha nd fill with dirt get grass seed any kind and grow in the house. You should have grass intime if you start today. On day of party water and stick flowers in it add eggs and candy what ever you have or get very cute and is low so can be seen over during meal.

For our Easter celebration we serve a ham, cheesey potato casserole, fresh green beans, rolls and Angel Food cake with whipped cream and strawberries. Oh yeah, deviled eggs for an appetizer, too.

My favorite thing to make is Eater Candy. This tradition in our family started years ago. My mom makes excellent ham, and she hasn't passed the torch to any of us yet...so on easter we gather at her house. However as a teen I started experimenting with candy making, and it became so popular at our family gatherings that now I am the designated "candy maker"--now it's expected that I will bring some sweet treats to holiday events.
So this year I will be bringing peanut butter chocolate eggs and chocolate bunnies for everyone to enjoy.

1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Place carrots in a large saucepan; add 1 in. of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and In the same pan, combine the butter, brown sugar, salt and pepper; cook and stir until butter is melted. Return carrots to the pan; cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes or until glazed. 8 servings.
