Blogworthy Bedhead

Little Guy woke up with some seriously remarkable bedhead the other day.  I marveled and giggled, and as soon as I had him situated with his musthaveitimmediatelyuponrising milk, I pulled out the camera.  The front looked ok.
{yes, he still drinks one, eensy weensy, insignificant, totally beloved bottle a day...it's the only way he'll drink milk, and since he's allergic to nuts and eggs and rejects most meats, I'm not willing to lose the protein source.  he helps pour the milk into the bottle, screws the top back on the milk jug, takes 10 ounces down in about 4 minutes, then throws the liner in the trash and puts the bottle in the sink.  :)  yes, it's a bit humorous.  the rest of the day, he's sipping water from a cup. someday, he'll drink milk from a cup, too.  until then, he can have his morning ritual the way he likes it.}
{defensive?  who, me?}

But the back...WOW.  I mean, what had he been doing?

The height.  The snarls.  He was halfway to dreads!
It was totally blogworthy bedhead.

I love the hair! Have you tried adding chocolate or strawberry syrup to the milk in a cup? if he likes it you could get him to take in even more and still have his one beloved bottle in the morning.

Love the hair. About the protein intake have you tried beans? Noah loves black beans and pinto beans. I even have a recipe for black bean brownies (let me know if you would like it).

This hair is hilarious. Kind of reminds me of Kate Gosselin's old 'do.

Elizabeth-I love reading about your precious boys:) This one struck the speech/feeding therapist in me and when I learned this, it made perfect sense to me...as infants, children taste the formula/breast milk in the back part of their mouths on those taste buds (because of the length of the nipple) and so that is that taste that they like and are familiar with. The taste from an open cup and even a sippy/tippy cup comes to different taste buds (in front) that they are not used to! and they like the familiar taste and want to stick to that:)

That is AMAZING bedhead.

As a currently protein-challenged person, might I suggest tofu or edamame? They make tofu hotdogs and tofu a lot of things. Or you could chop regular ol tofu up and hide it in things.

I think you should print these and hang them in the bathroom. Then when you are having a bad hair day, you can look at those and realize all things are relevant : )
