Kay + Joseph

My little cuz, Joe-fish, got married this weekend to the beautiful, sweet, smart-as-a-whip Kay! What a joyous event! And what a joy to witness!

For Andrew and me, the coming of the wedding weekend also meant the coming of what we'd been anxiously awaiting...Jacob's arrival in Birmingham! Oh my goodness, I thought I might keel over in anticipation in those last few hours before he got there! How we had missed him!
But get there he did, just in time for the rehearsal dinner.

After which, it was time for the big event...a gorgeous morning wedding with a brunch and blues band reception. What fun!

The babies even got to mix and mingle with the mother of the groom!

Kay truly was a beaming bride.

And Charles had the honor of being Joseph's best man.
We had a great time hanging out with the expanded sibling set. Then came execution of a time-honored Birmingham tradition. (Do they do this other places, too?) Throwing the groom in the pool!

Here come the groomsmen...resistance is futile, Joe-fish. There was no getting around this result. But your groomsmen fell short in one regard...
...as my Daddy demonstrates here, you were supposed to be sent in in your tuxedo--not your going away suit!
Makes for a bit of a soggy going away!

What a fabulous wedding weekend! Much love and many congratulations to Kay and Joseph!
