Jersey, Baby!

Happy Independence Day, everyone! Hope yours was wonderful. We had a fabulous mini-vacation to New Jersey to visit our friends, the C's.

They have sweet 2-month old baby Ellie.

And Ellie has cool toys. Or at least that's what Andrew says.

Apparently, Ellie's dad has some pretty cool toys, too.

Ellie also has bunnies in her neighborhood. How fun is that???On the 4th, the C's took us to a cookout at their friends' house, with the best barbecue I've had outside of Alabama. All made by the hostess!

Baby Ellie led us in the national anthem. And red gingham was the look of the day.

Since we were in New Jersey and all, guess where we headed next?

The menfolk played some cards, while the girls caught some rays and the babies napped.

And then the C's left us to head back home.

The next day, Jacob saw a little more of his idea of Atlantic City.

And I got to see my idea of Atlantic City.
And I've been eating saltwater taffy ever since!

Oh, and about that whole sitting up thing?
Yeah, he's got it down pat.
