The Good Ol' Hockey Game

For Jacob's birthday, I gave him tickets to a Caps NHL playoff game of his choice, and he chose this Saturday's game, which was the first of the semifinal round.

Andrew went with us, so he had to have a jersey too, of course! Here he is, getting his game face on.

We were higher up than we've been for regular season games {one drawback to being a stay at home mom is no more club level tickets from my firm!}, but our view of the ice was just fine.
We were so nervous about how Andrew would do with all the noise, but with his little earmuffs firmly in place, he had a great time!

The Caps played very well, securing a 3-2 victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins, which of course made the afternoon tons of fun!Let's go, Caps!

I love those earmuffs! Did they bother him? He seems to not even notice.

They didn't bother him at all!

So cute! The Caps should hire the Snodgrasses to promote their games!

Just curious which player is #8? Looks like both father and son think he's the best!

Alex Ovechkin, last year's NHL MVP of the year, is #8. He's definitely the favorite around here. May I ask who is asking? :)

Where did you get the earmuffs? We may be taking Amelia to her first Parachute (nee Sparky's Flaw) concert at the end of the month...
