Andrew at 4 Months

Here we are at the 4-month mark, and I can tell Andrew is transitioning from itty-bitty baby to not-quite-so-itty-bitty baby. Things are starting to happen, and I can just feel that we're on the verge of major moving and shaking!

For example, on his 4-month birthday, Andrew rolled over for the first time! I was unloading groceries in the kitchen while Andrew played on his back on a blanket in the den. Then I peeked over the counter and saw him like this--what a surprise! He obviously put a lot of effort into the big roll, since he squinched the blanket all up!

Now that he's a big boy, his father is seeing to it that Andrew is fully indoctrinated as a Caps fan. They're loving the NHL playoffs.
Andrew is also laughing lots more these days. He's a ticklish little thing and giggles the whole time while I take off his pajamas in the morning. Excessive numbers of kisses also get him. So you can imagine that we hear lots of laughter! This is the face he makes when he's getting kisses. It's to die for.
And this is Andrew's favorite new position. He rolls up onto that side every time I put him down. Including on the changing table--eek!
We went for the 4-month checkup yesterday. The little guy weighs 14 pounds, 2 ounces, and is 25 inches long. That puts him in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th for height--long and lean! But, boy, is he sturdy! He's got a core that would make a Pilates-er swoon.
Andrew asked that I show you his vaccination battle wounds. Poor little thing--it was rough!

Andrew really has become my little buddy! We go everywhere together. And he's such a good escort that he makes a regular ol' trip to the pharmacy, or even H&R Block, lots of fun! We are so happy to have you, little guy!

Elizabeth! Thomas is SO MUCH like Andrew!! *It must be the age! Ha! He rolls on his side and cocks his head back just like Andrew...LOVES watching sports with dad..and giggles galore when I take his pj's off and kiss him!! TOO funny...Thanks for your sweet comment about the smocking! I took a class on "geometric" smocking and then went to you tube and learned how to picture smock..there are tutorials on there..so i bought me a pattern (helicopters) and went to town! I've just finished "whales" too! It's so fun!!

OMG, he is just too adorable for words. The laughing picture is priceless. I need to get back to DC and not be sick this time so I can give some kisses to that adorable son of yours!
