Sullivan Family Beach Trip

Despite Hurricane Gustav, we had a wonderful time at the beach with my parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law. Lots of lounging and relaxing!

We even got to see my cousin David, who is stationed nearby in Pensacola. All the menfolk on the beach, pre-Gustav:

Saturday night, Daddy made a fabulous shrimp boil, and then we settled in to watch Alabama beat Clemson! Roll Tide Roll! Everyone was decked out in their team colors (and eating push pops).

When Gustav arrived, we turned to books, puzzles, and Palin coverage on TV. This 1750-piecer took more hours than I can count! I believe I was responsible for putting 4 pieces in place.

Post-Gustav, Jacob got one last sunny afternoon before he needed to fly back to DC on Wednesday for work:

Eventually, it was time to go home. Kimberly and I turned up in the same lounge outfit for the ride back to B'ham! It's been a long time since I've dressed twinsy, but we've found we have a lot of the same clothes these days!

I wish we could go again next week!
